Materials:  Bedspread Wt. #10 thread; Size 7 Hook.

I have made this coaster with two different last rounds.

#1. Last round is smooth and even.

#2. Last round is rough and uneven.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR #1 ENDING:

Rnd 1:  Ch 4, join to form ring, (ch 4, 2 trc in ring) 7 more times, ch 4,

join with sl st to 4th ch of beginning ch-4.

Rnd 2:  Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, ch 2, sc in next trc,

*ch 1, sc, ch 1 in next sp, sc in next trc, ch 2, sc in next trc, repeat from

* around, join in first sc.

Rnd 3:  Ch 4 in same sp as joining, *in next ch-2 sp make

(trc, ch 3, 2 trc, ch 3, trc), trc in next sc, ch 3, trc in next

sc.  Repeat from * around.  Join last ch-3 made to the 4th

ch of beg ch-4   

Rnd 4:  Slip st into next ch-3 sp, ch 6, dc in same ch-3 sp,

*in next ch-3 sp, make (dc, ch 3, dc) 2 times, ch 3.  Repeat

from *around.  Join in 3rd ch of beg. ch-6.

Rnd 5:  Sl st into next loop, ch 6, *[trc between next 2 sts, ch 3] 3 times,

(trc in next lp, ch 3) 2 times.  Repeat from * around. 

Join into 3rd ch of beg ch-6.

Rnd 6:  Sl st into next loop, ch 4, trc in same lp *ch 3, 2 trc

in next lp, ch 3, skip next lp, trc in next lp, ch 1, trc in same

lp ch 3, sk loop, 2 trc in next lp, repeat from *around.  Join

in top of beg ch-4.

Rnd 7:  Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next trc, *3 sc in next sp,

sc in next 2 trc, 3 sc in next sp, sc in next trc, sc in sp, sc

in next trc, 3 sc in next sp, sc in next trc, sc in sp, sc in next trc, 3 sc in next sp, sc in next 2 trc.  Repeat from * around, ending with sl st in beg sc.  End off, weave in ends.

Instructions for #2 ending for last round.

Make all 6 rows of #1 coaster instruction, then......

Rnd 7:  Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next sc, *in next loop make

(2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc), sc in next 2 trc, in next loop make (2 sc,

ch 2, 2 sc),sc in next trc.  Repeat from * around. 

Join to the first sc. End off, weave in all ends.
