Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn: Peaches & Crème 1 1/2 oz of
Main Color (MC) and 1/2 oz. Contrasting Color (CC) for the border; Size H hook.
Finished Size: 8 inches Square
Make 2
With MC chain 30.
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd chain from hook and in each chain across,
ch 2, turn.
(BLO = Back Loops Only)
Row 2: Working in BLO, hdc in each hdc across, ch 2, turn.
Rows 3-16: Repeat Row 2. At the end of Row 16, do NOT
ch 2, do NOT turn. Finish off. Weave in ends.
I tie the two ends together (twice) and tuck them between
the two finished squares as I work the border.
BORDER: Working in rounds

Rnd 1: Holding wrong sides together, working through all thicknesses, join CC
with sl st in any corner. Ch 1, 3 sc in the same corner [first corner made],
(Sc evenly across to next corner, making 3 sc in each corner) around.
Join with sl st to the first sc.
Rnd 2: Sl st into the next sc (center st), ch 2, make 2 hdc
in the same st [first corner made]. (hdc evenly
across to the next corner,
making 3 hdc in each corner) around. Join with sl st
in the first hdc. Finish off and weave in ends.
