Train Track DishCloth

Materials: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn, 3/4 oz, Small Amount Contrasting Color (CC); Size G Hook. I used Peaches & Crème: #166 Lullaby Ombre and Yellow trim.

This goes with my matching “Train Track Potholder”

Row 1: Chain 29, turn, dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 3, turn. (27 dc).

Row 2: Dc in each dc across to last dc, dc in the 3rd ch of the last dc, ch 3, turn.

(FPDC = Front Post Dc)

Row 3: (FPDC around the post of the next dc in the row below, skip the dc behind this FPDC, dc in next dc) across. Dc in the 3rd ch of the last dc. Ch 3, turn.

(FLO = Front Loops Only)

Row 4: Dc in the FLO of each dc across, dc in the top of the 3rd ch of the last dc. Ch 3, turn.

Rows 5-16: Repeat rows 3 and 4 alternately, ending with a Row 4. At the end of Row 16, do NOT and do NOT turn.

Row 17: Ch 1, 3 sc in the same stitch [first corner made]. (Sc evenly spaced across to the next corner, making 3 sc in each corner) around. Join with a sl st in the first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.

BORDER: Working in Rounds

Join CC with a sl st in any corner center stitch, ch 2, make 2 hdc in same sc, [first corner made]. (hdc evenly spaced across, making 3 sc in each corner) around. Join with sl st in the first hdc. Finish off and weave in ends.

OR add a Hanging Loop: chain about 14, sl st in the same hdc. Finish off and weave in ends.
