The top right holder has a tapered flap that inserts into the holder.
The other two have button
closures. You can make a loop on the
backside then slip onto a belt,
if you wish. When I used Velcro
for the flap, it kept pulling
off. Also, I had better luck using
cotton yarn - - it did not stretch
and pull so much as the acrylic.
Materials:
W. Wt. Cotton yarn, size H hook; 1 button for button
closure
Chain 11.
Rnd 1: Sc in the 2nd chain from hook and in the next 8 chains across
to the last chain. Work 3 sc in the last chain (12). Continue working
sc in each free loop of the foundation
chain on the opposite side,
2 sc in the last dc. Do not join rounds, use a stitch marker if needed.
(22).
Rnds 2-5: Sc in each sc around. At end of rnd 5, chain 3, turn. (22)
Rnd 6: Dc in the sc stitch directly behind this first ch-3 [1st X-St
made]. *Skip 1 sc, dc in the next sc, dc in skipped stitch. Repeat
from * around, join to the top of the beginning ch-3. (It is important
that you have a
total of 11 X-Sts at end of the rnd).
Rnds 7-9: Ch 1,
sc in same stitch, sc in each stitch around, join
in the last sc. (22)
Rnd 10: Repeat Rnd 6.
Rnds 11-13: Repeat rounds 7-9.
Rnds 14: Repeat round 6.
Rnds 15-17: Repeat rounds 7-9, join with sl st. (22)

Closure Version #1: Tapered

At the end of Rnd 17, work as follows:
Rnd 1: (Do not turn). Slst into
the next 4 sts (to center of flap

Rnds 2 & 3: Sc in each of the 10 sts across, turn without chaining
at end of rnds.
To Taper the end.
Rnd 4: Sc in the 1st st, sc next 2 sts together, sc in next 6 sc,
sc next 2 sts together, sc in the last
sc.
Rnds 5 & 6: Repeat Rnd 4 (6)
End off, fold
in the flap.

of Rnd 17 work as
