Use a size H crochet hook or the size to obtain the size you wish.

ROW 1:  Chain 32, dc in 4^th ch from hook, *ch 1, skip next ch, dc in next ch, repeat from across  (16 dc).

ROW 2:  Chain 4, turn, dc in 1^st ch sp, (ch 1, dc in next ch sp) across.  End with dc in the 3^rd ch of last dc.

ROW 3:  Chain 3, turn, dc in the 1^st ch sp, (dc in next dc, dc in next ch sp) across.  End with dc in 3^rd ch of beginning ch-4.

ROW 4:  Ch 4, turn, dc in 2^nd dc, (ch 1, skip next dc, dc in next ch) across.  End with ch 1, dc in 3^rd ch of last dc. 

ROW 5 – 17: Repeat Rows 3 & 4, alternately, ending with a Row 3.

ROW 18:  Ch 3, dc in the 1^st ch sp, (ch 1, dc in next ch sp) across, ending with dc in 3^rd ch of the last dc.

ROW 19: Ch 2, make 2 hdc in same st, hdc evenly around having 3 hdc in each corner.  Join with sl st to top of the beg. Ch-2.  End off and weave in ends.
