Small Beaded Flap Bag

Finished Size:  Approximately 6 1/2” long x 6” wide, excluding Fringe

 

Materials:  1 (2.5 oz) ball of 100%. 4 ply Cotton Worsted Weight Yarn; #14 Pony Beads; size G hook; Marker   

 

Gauge:  4 hdc = 1 inch; 3 rounds = 1 inch.  Not important. 

 

Stitches used:

Chain Stitch (ch)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Half-double Crochet (hdc)

Beaded Half-double Crochet (B hdc)

 

     The Pouch section of the bag is worked in continuous rounds.  Place a marker after each completed round.  Do not join unless specified.

 

POUCH:

 Rnd 1:  Ch 25, hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in the next 21 hdc,

             work 3 hdc in last the last chain. 

             Hdc in the free loops to the beginning ch-2. 

             Do not join, place a marker in the last hdc made.   (48)

 

Rnd 2:  Hdc in the top of the ch-2 and in each hdc around; do not join.

 

Rnds 3-17:  Hdc in each hdc around; do not join.  (48)

 

Rnd 18:  Hdc in each hdc around, join with a slst in the first hdc of round.
