X-Stitch & DCs Sampler

Materials:   Worsted Weight Acrylic Yarn, Main Color

(MC) ¾ oz. Contrasting Color (CC) small amount for trim; Hook size G.

 

Finished Size:  8 inches across

 

Row 1:  Ch 4, dc in the 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 3, turn.

 

Row 2:  Skip the first dc, (dc in the next dc, dc in the skipped dc) across,

dc in the 3rd ch of the beginning ch-3.

 

Rows 4-11:  Repeat Rows 2 and 3 alternately, ending with a row 3.  At end

of last row, do NOT ch 3 and do NOT turn.  Finish off.

 

BORDER

Rnd 1:  With right side facing, attach CC with a sl st in any corner sp,

ch 1, 3 sc in corner.  Sc in each st around making 3 sc in each corner. 

Join with sl st to the beginning sc. 

 

Rnd 2:  Sl st into the next sc, ch 3, 2 dc in the same sc [1st corner made].

(Dc in each sc across, making 3 dc in each corner) around.  Join as before.
