Materials: Worsted Weight Acrylic Yarn, Main Color (MC) ¾ oz. Contrasting Color (CC) small amount
for trim; Hook size G.
Finished Size: 8 inches
Row 1: Chain 23 dc, dc in 3rd chain from the hook and in each
ch across, ch 3, turn. (22 dc total)
Row 2: Skip the first dc, (dc in the next dc, dc in the skipped dc, skip next dc) repeat across
to the last 2 dc, dc in the 3rd chain of the beginning chain. Chain 3, turn.
(10 x-stitches)
Row 3: Dc in the 1st dc and in each dc across. Chain 3, turn. (22 dc)
Rows 4-11: Repeat Rows 2 and 3 alternately, ending with a row 3.
At end of last row, do NOT ch 3 and do NOT turn. Finish off.
BORDER
Rnd 1: With right side facing, attach CC with a sl st in any corner sp, ch 1, 3 sc in corner. Sc in each st around making 3 sc in each corner.
Join with sl st to the beginning sc.
Rnd 2: Sl st into the next sc, ch 3, 2 dc in the same sc [1st corner made]. (Dc in each sc across, making 3 dc in each corner) around. Join with sl st to the beginning sc, leaving 12” yarn. Weave
in ends and cut yarn.
